The Bold Eagle

Mt. Everett students publish The Bold Eagle, a lively forum for student expression and discussion on issues of interest to the extended school community, as well as entertaining feature stories, sports coverage, reviews, gaming activities and photographs. Senior editors are enrolled in the high school's "World Affairs and Journalism" class, although all members of the student body are welcome to contribute articles, creative writing and artwork.

The Bold Eagle staff is trained in journalistic methods including story development and construction, investigative reporting, interviewing techniques, page layout and design, editorial policy, and distribution. Our goal is to ensure that each edition published is of greater quality than its predecessor.

The newspaper staff also produces a one-hour weekly radio broadcast hosted by three student DJs. The 2008-09 program, The Fantastic Underdog Show, airs witty banter, an eclectic assortment of music, local event coverage, and public service messages. The show broadcasts on Wednesday evenings at 7pm on WBSL (91.7FM). Studio space and broadcasting capabilities are provided to our students courtesy of our friends at the Berkshire School in Sheffield.
