Feb. 26, 2022 - Framingham, Mass. - The top seeded Framingham State University women's basketball team led by Tournament MVP Gwendolyn Carpenter repeats as Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Champions after defeating second seed Bridgewater State University 84-69 this afternoon at the Athletic Center.  With the victory, the Rams receive the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Basketball Championship.  . . Duval Places 6th in 10,000 at New Englands

DEDHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior Cole Duval (Tolland/Mount Everett HS) finished sixth in the 10,000 meters during the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championships at Northeastern University's Solomon Track on Friday.

Duval's 31:35.06 bettered his previous best, set a week ago at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, by about 17 seconds and was good for sixth on Bentley's all-time list. It was the best by a Falcon since 2012. . . .Full Story

The Field of Dreams ballpark is in Dyersville, Iowa. For Cavan Brady and his Wheaton College baseball teammates, they will have their own Field of Dreams this weekend in nearby Cedar Rapids.

UNICO Baseball/Softball Hall of Fame Inductions Set for Nov. 18

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- UNICO will induct five athletes in its Baseball/Softball Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. Tomich played softball at Mount  Everett for six years, helping the team win the Southern Berkshire League five of those six years.

At Westfield University, she played all four years. Her freshman year, she earned the MASCAC Rookie of the Year Award, and she was named Pitcher of the Year in both her sophomore and junior years.

 In her junior year, Tomich ranked 17th nationally among NCAA Division III pitchers, and in her senior year she was selected to the MASCAC all conference team, was ranked eighth nationally in Division III for strikeouts, and set the Westfield State records for most victories and strikeouts. . .Full Story
