Students in both our Graphic Design and Digital Design and Marketing classes have created patch designs to submit to Berkshire Community College's Mission Patch Design Contest for their Student Spaceflight Experiment Program (SSEP). We are so happy to support BCC and contribute to its first mission; sending student research to the International Space Station!
Yesterday, Mt. Everett's drone team had a special visitor! Thank you, Smitty Pignatelli, for stopping by to wish our team good luck in the upcoming New England Regional Championship scheduled for March 16th in Cromwell, CT. Mt. Everett middle schoolers Alea Trail and Tonia Maynard gave Smitty a refresher on how to fly a drone. Once acclimated to the controls, Smitty proved himself very adept at tackling the drone challenge course!
Elementary students have been taking part in Read Across America activities all week including today's Pajama Day. Learning alongside your favorite stuffie is a special thing!
8th-grade students are working on their Impressionism paintings.
Mt. Everett Theatre Department presents Seussical the Musical! March 15 at 7pm, March 16 at 7 pm, and March 17 at 2 pm.
Tickets are available at the door. $8 for Students/Seniors, $10 for adults. Children 3 and under are free.
Painting One students explored the world of still life, taking inspiration from the iconic American artist, Wayne Thiebaud. Their focus? Delicious treats and everyday objects, rendered in vibrant colors and with bold brushstrokes.
We're so impressed by their creativity and ability to capture the essence of Thiebaud's style. Each piece is a unique and delightful testament to their growing artistic vision!
Culinary students prepare for tomorrow's Cookie and Soup Day. They will be serving Italian Wedding soup with homemade meatballs and chocolate chip cookies.

This past week our Transcend Core Team visited Austin, Texas! The team gathered for an in-person convening to finalize the preparations before incorporating the other teams into the next phases.
5th grade Milagros designs. The word Milagro in Spanish means “miracle” or “surprise” and people in the past and present use them as symbols to wish others good luck, good health, and hope for the future.
8th grade Science students investigated genes, alleles, and mutations, then employed three types of genetic inheritance (dominant/recessive, incomplete dominance, and sex-linked,) along with acquired/learned traits, and environmental influences to develop profiles for four puppies in their "Canine Family Tree" project.
Food Prep students are concluding their Egg Unit with a prepared dish of their choice.

Interact Club students created heartfelt Valentine's Day messages for SBRSD staff.
11th and 12th-grade students in Ms. G's Advisory put on a Valentine's Day phone booth to spread friendly cheer to their classmates.
Mount Everett classrooms were filled with music and laughter today as 11th and 12th-grade advisory students serenaded their classmates with songs of love in time for Valentine's Day. This project was developed by students as a way to spread some friendly cheer and perhaps brighten someone's day.
