This week the Interact club finished the weeding of the pollinator garden with the help of some Rotarians. The students also learned about which plants were good for bees and butterflies! They did an amazing job! The garden is looking great and we have happy pollinators!

There will be an information session for a summer student travel opportunity on Wednesday, October 11.


UME 4th graders released butterflies as part of the Life Cycles unit in Science. They learned about the four stages of metamorphosis including the egg, the larva (caterpillar), the pupa (chrysalis), and the adult butterfly.










Boys Soccer tied Granby with a spectacular goal by Brady Carpenter and a series of great saves by Ian Lanoue.





Students in Ms. Von Ruden’s Science class created Tensegrity Structures: structures created by a system of isolated parts under compression that are suspended by elements in tension and arranged in such a way the compressed parts do not touch each other.





The Cross Country team celebrated their seniors this week at our Senior Night home meet!









2nd graders learned about biomes during a unit on climate and animal habitats.


Mount Everett's high school culinary class, visited Superintendent Regulbuto to deliver her a surprise birthday gift in the form of a tasty smoothie!

Mount Everett's Fall Pep Rally











This week Mount Everett students helped to set up, organize, photograph, and edit SBRSD school portraits and sports photographs. This service learning endeavor is a great way for students to experience working in the field of photography, while also giving back to their community. Your school portraits are almost ready and will be emailed soon!



Creative and vocational endeavors aren't hard to come by at Mount Everett. Students in Ms. Gott's Culinary class have been practicing knife skills and learned proper poultry cutting and handling using the Spatchcock method. Ms. Graham's Ceramics class has been using surface techniques while creating pinch pots. Mr. VonRuden's Building class has been practicing the safe handling of wood-cutting tools.
