Last night, the Mount Everett Senior Awards Night illuminated the achievements of the graduating class of 2024. The seniors selected Nathan TenBroek to deliver the student welcome address, and Dr. Asha Von Ruden was chosen to deliver the faculty address. Congratulations to our soon-to-be graduates – your dedication and hard work were on full display during the awards ceremony! We can't wait to see you walk across the stage at Tanglewood on Saturday!

Congratulations to Allison Steuernagle for receiving the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents’ Award for Academic Excellence! The award was presented at the School Committee meeting on Thursday, May 23rd.
Our NMC Kindergarteners explored the possibilities beyond a box after reading "Not a Box." They then built these fantastic sculptures and identified the shapes they used.
Mount Everett held its final pep rally of the year this afternoon, sending off our seniors in style.
With a mix of excitement and nostalgia, the soon-to-be graduates of 2024 greeted arriving staff and classmates on their last day of school.

Meet Ruby – SBRSD's newest guest therapy dog! She is a 2-year-old poodle who finds time in her busy schedule to visit with students. Alongside her owner, Betsy, Ruby went through 8 weeks of training to become a therapy dog.
Honors 11th-grade English students received the special opportunity to interview Air Force Veteran Alan Romeo about his experience serving in the Vietnam War. Students were able to create real-world connections to Tim O’Brien’s classic American novel The Things They Carried and participate in a moment of sincere thanks for the sacrifices veterans like Al have made for our country. It was a beautiful conversation, and we sincerely thank Alan Romeo for his honesty, courage, and willingness to share his story. Many thanks to retired SBRSD educator Paul O’Brien for creating these connections with the surrounding community, continuing to capture veteran stories through the oral history project, and being willing to set up such meaningful experiences for students.

Mount Everett Middle School Student Council is hosting a Movie Night this Thursday, featuring the film "Minions". The event will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Tickets are priced at $5, which includes pizza and drinks. Additionally, we will have a variety of baked goods available for purchase separately. We hope to see you there!

Last night's Mount Everett Prom at The Greenport in Hudson, NY was incredible!
Huge thanks to the junior class prom committee for making it such a fantastic event.
We had a successful Latino/cultural celebration at the UME open house last night. Students shared craft and literacy activities with their visiting families.
Mount Everett hosted a job and career fair on campus this morning. Students were able to speak with representatives from many organizations about opportunities available to them.
Big thanks to Sheffield Pottery whose generous donation of clay allowed the UME first-graders to bring their animal research projects to life by creating clay sculptures. The students were fortunate to have the help of high school art students during this creative process.
The Prom Committee is busy preparing for tomorrow's big event!

Huge congratulations to Asha Von Ruden for earning her Doctor of Education, Leadership in STEM Education from UMass Lowell!
Dr. Von Ruden's research focuses on the effect of project-based learning activities on middle school students’ attitudes toward and engagement in math. We are so proud of you and your hard work!
