Mount Everett Band seniors began a group project this year titled “My Band Shirt, My Impact.”
Each student chose an SBRSD staff member who had an impact on them throughout their time at school. Students surprised each teacher with a shirt personalized with the student’s name, graduation year, and instrument. Teachers were presented with a letter and listened to speeches by the student who chose them describing their impact. It was a feel-good day for everyone involved. Ms. English hopes to make this a tradition every year.
Stay tuned for a student-made documentary about the project and a full list of the band seniors and chosen teachers in the new year!
