Ms. Cooke's Kindergarteners reflected on their growth throughout this school year with pencil portraits.
From Ms. Cooke: "I wanted to share with you the amazing portraits created by your children with only a pencil, from the fall and spring. I looked at them with each child and heard from them the ways they feel they have grown this year. These "exit interviews" were profoundly moving and I am constantly astounded by the self-knowing and wisdom of this group of very special humans!"
NMC students explored beach themed activities last week in Ms. Schieb's class.
SBRSD elementary students enjoyed Field Day 2022 this morning!
The New Day Club headed to Boston to walk the Freedom Trail, explore Quincy Market and see the Paul Revere House! Our students couldn't have been better ambassadors for SBRSD! We had an educational and fun day! This trip was generously funded by an Eagle Fund Grant, 2022.
From Ms. Johnston: "We are so excited to welcome Franco and Llyr back on campus! We need our pup friends more than ever- even for those who seem to be fine. Benefits of working with a therapy dog are many, both physically and emotionally. They include helping us feel calm and relaxed, lowering anxiety, alleviating loneliness, enhancing social engagement and interaction, reducing stress, reducing depression and increasing pleasure. Thank you Lisa and Honor for sharing your best friends with us. "
Mohican Educational Awareness Walk
Last week, fifth grade students learned about canoe and water safety and then paddled canoes on a small, gentle section of the Housatonic River. This field trip was sponsored by Mass Audubon/Housatonic Valley Association.
Join us on Zoom on June 28th and 30th for a conversation about a possible merger between Berkshire Hills and Southern Berkshire Regional School District!

Mt. Everett and Bard College, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Early Colege Initiative, are teaming up to expand the Early College program to eventually be part of all grades at the high school. This benefits all students, whether they plan to go to college or not, by providing rigorous learning and support for students to explore all of their options after high school. Join us on Thursday, June 16 at Mount Everett Regional High School to help shape our students' futures!
