Some of our wonderful 8th-grade students joined hundreds of other student ambassadors and participated in Project 351 over the weekend! Project 351 is a youth-led movement for change, uniting 8th graders from across the state for a year of transformative service.






Fourth graders learned about Newton's Laws of Motion by creating interactive museum exhibits. Each group demonstrated a different law using a unique, student-designed model. They recorded videos of their exhibits and explained the scientific principles behind them.





Mount Everett's production of 13 Jr. opens this Friday!
Shows will be on Friday, January 31st, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1st, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, February 2nd, at 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the 15 high school students recognized at this morning's meeting for their outstanding attendance and to Philip Enoch, the winner of our December/January High School Outstanding Student Effort Award.


This morning, 11th and 12th graders were introduced to the STEM Starter Academy, an opportunity offered through Berkshire Community College. The Academy provides promising incoming college students with an opportunity to explore cutting-edge careers, gain college classroom experience, and focus on important success skills in a supportive environment.


NMC PreK concluded their unit on Construction Sites with a special surprise! Craig, driving the Town of New Marlborough's Dump Truck Plow, made a surprise visit. The children were thrilled to see him arrive through the window. We bundled up warmly and headed outside to greet the impressive truck. Craig kindly explained his role and how he utilizes the vehicle to maintain the town's roads. As he departed, he gave us a resounding honk from his big horn, and we waved goodbye with enthusiastic cheers.

Third-grade students are conducting a pendulum experiment to investigate the relationship between string length, starting point, and weight on the number of swings. 📊 They're collecting data, analyzing results, and developing their scientific thinking skills.




Congratulations to the boys basketball team on tonight's win! It was inspiring to see the young athletes shine on Youth Night.











9th-grade Science students brought DNA replication to life by creating a series of comic book-style drawings that showcased the process step-by-step.



20th-century History students are currently delving into the post-World War I era, exploring how fields like science, literature, society, and art underwent significant transformations. Art styles and movements, including expressionism, modernism, cubism, and surrealism, emerged during this period.
Students participated in a "gallery walk" throughout the school to gain a deeper understanding. Their mission: to locate and observe painting studies created between 1900 and 1939. For each artwork, students recorded the artist, art style, and year of creation and assigned a personal rating for fun.
Upon returning to the classroom, students engaged in a lively discussion with a partner, sharing their observations and insights gleaned from the gallery walk.




In their History class, 8th graders embarked on a unique project: recreating the original Constitution. To add authenticity to their papers, students steeped them in tea to stain them and then carefully singed the edges using wood-burning tools.






Students in the Culinary class showed off their skills by baking a variety of delicious pies for their final project.



In Mr. Siket's 3D Design class, students are actively engaged in individual projects that require a multidisciplinary approach, combining design, engineering, coding, and physics principles.

Sra. Mapstone's class is learning about Puerto Rican culture by creating Vejigante masks. They used paper mâché to make the base and will decorate them in the traditional 'careta' style.
