Mt. Everett Regional School's Innovation Pathway in Technology provides students with the opportunity to develop valuable technical skills through a partnership with Cisco Networking Academy. This partnership gives students access to industry-recognized coursework in computer programming, cybersecurity, computer networking, artificial intelligence, and other in-demand technology fields. Through hands-on learning experiences and real-world curriculum, students gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue college degrees, industry certifications, or careers in today's rapidly evolving technology sector. The program emphasizes problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration while exposing students to the latest advancements in information technology.
Students in the Technology Innovation Pathway also have opportunities to apply their skills outside the classroom through competitive events and authentic learning experiences. In previous years, Mt. Everett students have participated in CyberPatriot, the nation's largest youth cyber defense competition, where teams defend virtual computer systems against simulated cyberattacks while identifying and correcting security vulnerabilities. Experiences like CyberPatriot allow students to strengthen their technical abilities, work effectively as a team, and gain valuable experience solving real-world cybersecurity challenges. By combining rigorous coursework with hands-on competition, the Innovation Pathway prepares students for success in both higher education and the growing technology workforce.
